    2015 Vintage Brut – Kent Evanesced

    SMALL VINTAGE English Sparkling WinE.

    THE GRAPE – 100% English premium blend – 64% Chardonnay and 36% Pinot Noir

    APPEARANCE – light, slightly golden with fine bubble and rich mousse

    TASTE – The palate is fresh with a bright streak of citrus fruit, lemongrass and baked apple, with a strong persistent fizz which leads to a refreshingly dry finish.

    COMPLEMENTS – Beautifully balanced, this refreshing wine is best enjoyed as an excellent apéritif to accompany canapés, or as a rewarding partner to seafood.

    HOW IS IT MADE – By getting the handpicked bunches into the winery from vine to press within the hour, fermenting slowly in stainless steel and resting on lees to mellow before racking, filtering and bottling. Made in the traditional method on-site and aged on its lees for approximately three years before disgorging.

  • Bacchus

    Bacchus 2017

     

    THE GRAPE – 100% English Bacchus grapes grown on the estate. A crossing of Riesling and the lesser known Silvaner, a variety known for being able to express terroir. Bacchus produces white grapes. Named after Dionysus the Roman god of wine, fertility, and prophecy.

    APPEARANCE – Green to Gold in colour.

    NOSE – Elderflower and green fruits

    TASTE – A medium dry full of super citrus fruit characters similar to Sauvignon Blanc but with distinctive tones of elderflower, gooseberry, melon and lemon.

    COMPLEMENTS – Goes perfectly with Italian creamy pastas, Asian spices and traditional roast pork

    LOW SULPHUR

    THE GRAPE- 100% English Ortega grapes grown on the estate. Created in 1948 by Hans Breider in Germany the Hybrid of Muller-Thurgau and Siegrrebe produces a lush bright green canopy with white tips. The bushy canopy encouraged mildews but also bountiful bunches at a higher Oechsle. Its named after the contemporary poet and philosopher José Ortega y Gasset.

    APPEARANCE – Golden, with a slight spritz

    NOSE – Ortega wines have aromas of Muscat and peach and are high in extract, however fruit shines through in this vintage

    TASTE – Delicious, complex and long on the palette

    COMPLEMENTS – Perfect aperitif or great with fish, shellfish, spicy or rich foods such as a Sunday lunch
